Saint Hilary of Poitiers

Hilary grew up in France, in a family that did not know Jesus. He loved to read and to ask big questions about life. When he read the Bible, he found the answers he was looking for, and he was baptised with his wife and daughter. Later he became a bishop. Hilary wrote many books teaching that Jesus is truly God, the Son of the Father, and he never stopped telling the truth, even when it was hard.

Did you know? Hilary also wrote some of the first Christian hymns in Latin.
