Saint Casimir

a prince who loved prayer and the poor · feast day 4 March

Casimir was a prince in Poland and Lithuania, more than five hundred years ago. He could have had anything he wanted, but he cared more about God and about poor people than about riches. Casimir loved to pray, and he was gentle, honest and fair to everyone. He was always ready to help those in need. He died when he was only twenty-five, and the people loved him so much that they called him a saint.

Did you know? Saint Casimir is the patron saint of Lithuania.
