Saints Basil and Gregory

Basil and Gregory met at school in Athens and became best friends. They loved learning, but they loved God even more. Both became bishops and taught people that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one God. Basil built a place where sick and poor people could be cared for, almost like a little town of kindness. Gregory was a wonderful speaker and poet. Their friendship helped both of them grow closer to God.

Did you know? Gregory wrote that he and Basil knew only two roads: the one to church, and the one to school!
